Recruitment Agencies Vs The Candidate

The Review presents -The Candidate

There are good recruiters, there are bad recruiters. There are good candidates, there are bad candidates. Today I choose to focus on the latter.
Unless we open a business, or join up with a family or friends, we all know how frustrating it can be looking for a new job. Candidates hunting for work have expressed a number of concerns:
a) Recruiters (agency) are not returning telephone calls, or emails, some are impossible to get hold of at any time.
b) Agency staff are not qualified and do not understand the industry they are recruiting for.
c) Baiting- Agencies are advertising positions that in reality do not exist. Some recruitment agents post job after job on social networking sites such as LinkedIn. The jobs are not real.
d) When staff at recruitment agencies are questioned about poor service, they often give the answer that candidates are appalling. This reflects poor customer service since the recruiter is paid, the candidate is not.
e) Over promising and under delivering is common as agents promise to get back to candidates by a certain date, they don't follow through.
I would like to hear from candidates, who are willing to tell of their experiences. I will be taking on candidates as clients.
